Hello Ferrari Friends- Sadly the day has come when we must sell our daily driver 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello with just over 48k well loved miles. This is my ultimate dream car, and the ownership experience was beyond expectation. I lost my business to Covid last year, and we are selling the 550 to help cover funds owed to employees and customers, and we listed the car with No Reserve on Bring a Trailer for the full auction experience. The car has the less common carbon interior and is one of only 137 2001 model year 550 Maranellos manufactured and imported for the USA market. This one is special as we have spent over 2 1/2 years and 27,000 miles ironing out the Ferrari quirks to make it truly daily drivable, thanks in a very large part to Ferrari whisperer Mark Glenwood of 7 Lakes Auto Repair in Arlington. Now it is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner in all of its gated 6 speed V12 glory. The car is also one of only two 550s in North America with Fabio's beautiful equal length headers which make it sound more like a 599 GTO (see below for a video taken last week). The entire OEM exhaust is included, along with a one of one set of BBS LM 19" wheels, early Tubi Competition mufflers, complete service history going back to 2003, and the first two NFTs in the world to be linked to a real Ferrari. The car is currently represented by the wonderful Steve Theodore at Rumble Auto Holdings, and anyone is welcome to set up an appointment to see it at his facility just outside Issaquah. I’m sorry to hear the reasons for which you have to part with this beauty. Hopefully things turn around and you’re able to own one again. The car sounds absolutely divine and you’ve presented it beautifully! Good luck with the auction! Hopefully I’ll be able to enter a successful bid.
Thank you! We are definitely looking forward to the next one, and we are so grateful to have experienced this one. Best of luck bidding!
I hope that the sale price goes well beyond your expectations. Selling a possession such as this to take care of others IMO shows you are a stand up kinda guy with your moral priorities in line. I think you will be well rewarded down the road for this move.
Sorry to hear about your business, I hope you get past this and succeed twice as well in the future. The sound is epic good luck with the sale.
I've already responded on BaT, Rapido. In a past life, I was a homebuilder. Like you, we got hit with a ****storm. At the end of the day, we were able to honor all our obligations. It wasn't easy, but a man has to do what a man has to do. My hat is off to you, Sir. If I could, I would bid, but having owned a Maranello, I believe it is bad luck to go backwards. But, it looks like you'll fine. Damn, I love the sound. Bottom line is you can hold your head up high.
That thing sounds ridiculously nice. Best luck, hope you get some big last minute action on the auction!!
send it! we love to see it. kudos to you on doing the right thing by your people. karma is infinite, brother.
Three minutes to go, the fun begins @ $120K! 2:20 $123K 2:02 $124K Final 2 minute upbid resets - $125K, $126K, $130K... Hammered at $131K. Good job Nifty. Has to be a sad day but you are a good, righteous man.
Extremely excited to be the new owner of this car! I have wanted a silver 550 since I was young and it's great to be able to fulfill that dream. I have a '07 599 in the same color, also with Fiammenghi headers which will be coming to market soon to make room for this!
Congrats! I think you have a car that has got some really good mojo behind it. Nifty was blessed with a sale, his employees and some customers were blessed to get them whole and you were blessed to have a fine marque that you have always wanted. Everybody wins and I think that God had his hand in this sale!
