I rec'd this e-mail today: "Unfortunately we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on July the 1st in time because the recipients address is not correct. Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office Your UPS" Do these guys really think that we're going to open the attachment so that we can "collect the package at our office?" Don't you love the broken English?
"Collect the package" isn't broken English, it's more like the Queen's English. That actually appears to be the most eloquent email to ever come out of Nigeria...
Got the same email a few minutes ago! Here was the first clue... the email return address: United Parcel Service [[email protected]] Second clue: "Unfortunately we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on July the 1st in time because the recipient’s address is not correct." Hmmmm... couldn't deliver the package IN TIME because the address was incorrect???? Just doesn't make sense. Third clue: The attached "invoice" is a zip file. Ummmm... yeah... right. Finally: Does UPS even have an "office" where you pick up.... err... I mean collect packages?
Yup. I've had to pickup packages from their office, which in San Diego is also their distribution center. Also picked up packages from Fedex.
got the same email this morning and just deleted it and did not even open. The ironic thing is that I did have a package that I did not recieve two weeks ago from UPS, but the company has since sent me a new one
