    I was in Luxemburg in 1988 as a Steward for the First World Hot Air Airship Championships.
    There was an evening tether of balloons as part of the celebration. A Frenchman I knew was lighting fireworks from his wicker basket that had, of course, multiple propane tanks onboard. It was a seriously dumb thing to do.

    This was my idea: A "Le Mans" start at the 1st Hot Airship Worlds in 1988.
    In this event, Airships were buoyant (with crews) but pilots had to race across a field to their "cars" and lift off.
