    I have seen nearly 300,000 and miles and counting in Ferrari's. Other brands more. Much longer than any of the iron sleeve motors.

    They also have less parasitic drag or friction. Piston/ring drag is a large source of power loss.


    The auto industry has not spent a great deal of money on this for nothing.

    My 3.5L 328 had the aluminum sleeves bored and retreated.
