Can't agree, last year he was showing more than Kimi, he was fast and moving in the right direction.

That "retiree" was still a world champion.

Yes, Kimi had lost some speed but would still be very impressive on ocasion, and he was still some light years ahead of many other drivers, so Gio did very well against him.

His racecraft was second to none. He raced hard but always fair, something multi-WDCs could stand to emulate?

Not sure but Gio would get in Q3 one race then be nowhere the next, naturally paralleling the crazy Alfa car itself, all over the map. I think he was improving on Kimi but the gap wasn’t where it should have been for a younger driver. Love to see Ilott or Piastri or even an unknown crawl in and show potential, similar to Alonso in the Minardi. WTH!! fast ;).
Gio hasn’t shown it, he’s been on simmer forever.

I remember seeing Alonso at age 19 in the Minardi(the Unibrow Days), fantastic!

Yes. The returning world champion was beaten by someone who eventually became a world champion.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I've no idea how deep a contract like Uralkali/Haas goes, I suppose pretty deep, but something tells me that Haas would've been better off waiting for the sanctions to come through and then drop Mazepin/Uralkali than announce it several days beforehand. This opens Haas up to being sued rather than claim ''sorry boys, force majeure" (which they'd very easily win). Could be expensive...

Mazepin and his father were added today to the EU sanctionees list with other Oligarchs.

The father actually met with Putin the day the war started.

So any lawsuit against Haas by them/Uralkali will be preempted, rendered irrelevant because he would now not be able to participate in ANY GP in the EU OR travel in the EU.

A team is worth more these days than hes got into it. So it's in his own interest to keep it going...I mean just to get an entry today is 200 mil. Include all of Haas' assets you'd be looking at double that...

Weird choice of replacement. KMag is a nice dude, but he’s rapid and is a journeyman. Surprised they didn’t go for someone younger, faster and with a boatload of cash to contribute.

I guess those who qualified (Superlicense) weren't queueing up to join Hass.

Kevin is good, easily a midfield driver, and a good nº2 at a top team.....give him the car and he will deliver...
