It is a mirrorless camera system with a much smaller sensor than all of those noted above and has a 2.7x crop factor. It's more P&S than any of the other mirrorless camera's. I suspect sales will be largely because it says Nikon on it and it will be from those moving up from P&S as opposed to dslr users seeking a small second system. Nikon isn't stabilizing anything, mirrorless is here and not going anywhere regardless of nikon/canon. Nikon got in only because the other oly/panny/sony are defining mirrorless which is the fastest growing market segment presently and is grabbing sales from dslr's. Canon will jump now that Nikon is in but coming late to the party with a 2.7x crop sensor, limited ISO, and big slow lenses.
