    I am tired of sitting here looking at a Domke bag full of old Nikkor ED/IF lenses, so I am going to test the waters and get a used D1X or D2X to play with/learn on.

    I realize the D2X is double the mpxls, but what other neat tricks does the D2X do that the D1X does not do?
    I am digital-stupid, I know nothing about it, I grew up on F2A's and fixer, D-76, Diafine, Acufine, Dektol...

    PM Challenge64 (Ron). IIRC, he shoots with both D1X and the D2X.

    The D2x has a high speed crop mode that will allow you to shoot 8fps with a reduced MP count 7MP vs 12MP IIRC

    I had a D2x but traded it in for a D300 as I was never satisfied with the image quality of the D2x.
