I have no idea how to use it, thought I was going to be using a Canon, which I am somewhat familiar with, but can't due to other reasons. So, can anyone run me through some basics, exposure, how to get some good depth of field, changing shutter speed, ISO, etc. TIA.
Hi Ashwin... PM sent. My cell # is there.... feel free to call. I've used the D40X pretty extensively but more detail than I can type on my Droid. Pops

Although his opinions are often questionable, Ken Rockwell has a VERY detailed guide to the D40: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40.htm What are you going to use it for, Ash?
Thanks for the link Florian! My friends Dad owns a BMW M6 convertible. I've taken a few photos of it, but never really a decent shoot, or that I was trying. My friend makes videos, and bought some new equipment, and we found a few locations, so it's our second go at it. Here's a picture I took of it last winter, and what I mean by I wasn't trying was that if I was doing a legit shoot, the doors would be closed, windows up or down and the hood down. http://www.flickr.com/photos/agup627/4256125574/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
