Another one? What happened this time?

 

Per CNN
5 dead including the shooter.
Also, shooter was not a student.

 

I spoke with a hospital administrator this afternoon at Kishwakee hospital in Dekalb... was offering her "our" services (I am the medical director for a helicopter EMS program).
Needless to say, she was stressed, saying "everyone has head injuries".

senseless....
at least the bastard who did this is dead. Enjoy the burn....

 

My prayers go out to their families

 

To all of you that know Ed of Ed's Affordable, his youngest son Mike goes to NIU.

There were some tense moments this afternoon as the family was not able to contact Mike. Finally he answered his phone and he was not involved.

My condolences go out to the families affected by this tragedy.

 

That's horrible. It's hard to even read about things like that any more.

 

What's wrong is that they've done nothing good or worthwhile with their life, are angry at the world for their own mistakes, and want attention and notoriety without having to work for it. They know that when they do crap like this, they'll be famous. And every time something like this happens we give them more attention, adding fuel to the fire. I know it is hard to ignore something like this, but the more air-time we give to incidents like these, the more incentive these idiots have to pull it off.

It isn't guns that kill people, it's our society that glorifies killers. I bet this killer will have his own wikipedia page by the end of the day.

Just my opinion.

 

It was shocking to hear what had happened, without question very sad. My thoughts go out to the students and to the parents who now must deal with the loss of their loved ones.To all authorities involved with senseless shooting thank you for your efforts and rapid response time!

I agree that the media fuels the flames, and helps perpetuate 'copycat' acts of aggression.

 

That is so awful. The shooter was a past student and wasn't currently in the school. It's so sad how many mentally sick people there are in this world. My prayers and condolences to all the mourning families that have children who were evolved. Such a shame. I agree with what speedy4500 said about the media adding fuel to the fire. A sad day indeed...
