NJ exotic car meet/Run

I am hosting an exotic car meet/run on July 17, 2010. Please read the paragraph below for details.

Location- 901 rt 10, Whippany NJ ( My Gold's Gym)


CHEESE STEAK RUN (GOLD RUN )
GOLDRUN JULY 17, 2010


The GOLD RUN is an Automotive/ Motorcycle drive from Gold’s Gym in Whippany NJ to Tony Luke’s Cheese Steaks in Philadelphia. Participants will start with a Police escort from Gold’s Gym. They will Continue on a planned route down to Philadelphia where they will meet at Tony Luke’s (39 East Oregon Avenue Philadelphia, PA. 19148.) Registration is open to only 75 cars and 35 motorcycles E-mail [email protected] to sign up. Recommended donation- $20.00 cash or $20.00 Target gift card. Clothing and non-perishable food donations will also be greatly appreciated! 100% of proceeds will go to very underprivileged children at Valley View Intermediary School in Peckville PA. Reason for picking Valley View – A little boy was caught stealing food from the schools cafeteria. When he was asked why his response was “ I wanted to take food home so my brother can eat dinner.” We researched and found the living conditions for most of the students to be horrendous. Sign up for the Gold Run and help us get them the food, clothing and essentials they need. Children are ages 5-12

Just confirmed - Tony Luke Jr. ( Seen on Man Vs. Food and The Food network) will be attending the event.

 

We are meeting at 4:30 pm- Departing at 5:30pm

Not going to go on the run, but probably going to check out the meeting spot and take a couple pics.

 

A lot of people are doing that...... feel free to stop by.

 

I may stop by at the start as well, but can't do the run. Would bring either the 73 Ferrari Daytona or 89 Lambo Countach.

How far of a drive is it from Whippany to Philly?

 

Will also be there at the start with a 83 GTB but will not be able to make the run. Thanks.

 

The drive is about 90 min ( speed limit )

 

Just wanted to update- looks like we have a police escort in Philly as well.

Did you have a show like this at your place last year? Someone told me about a meet at a gym on RT 10 around this time last year. Anyway, I should be there. I will bring my Delorean if it's not too hot. The air is not working and the windows are very small so it's just air vents for me. If it's too hot, I will bring something else cool.

 

This looks like it is going to be a nice event! I will be there in the Z06...Blue 04' Z06 with Silver Stripes.
