For those of us on the west side of the Hudson River, we're going to set up a meeting point so that we can caravan in together.

That spot has not yet been chosen and I'll up to my ears in business today so if anyone has a suggestion, please post it.

I will follow up iwth you all to confirm the location and time once established. If you can't make the rendezvous then we'll see you at NYU Med Center.

My NYC geography is non existent. If we can agree on how we will be entering the city (GWB, Lincoln, Holland) then it will be easier to pick a meeting point in NJ. NYU is closer to which tunnel/bridge?

Also, if we got guys/gals coming up from the Phillie area and they'll be on the Turnpike, maybe we can have a meeting point closer to central NJ then a final meeting spot for the north Jersey people right before the entrance to the city. I think that would be the easiest.

i know that this has nothing to do with the discussion but since philly M5 has both an M5 and an E55, i was wondering which car is better, which do you like driving, which is faster?

I would have to say the M5 is a much better vehicle less the whole "I-Drive" system, but for everyday city driving I would prefer the E55 over the M5. The E55 has just enough horsepower for the everyday city driving, where as the M5 is just way too much...I think I get like 10mpg in the city or something along those lines. But when it comes to open road driving where I can actually flex the muscle of the vehicle I would say the M5 is way more fun. I would say the E55 is gear toward comfort as with all Mercedes, and the M5 for it's insanity....

911: "911. What is your emergency??!"

Me: "This thread got hyjacked!! Send SWAT, big guns, snipers and air support immediately!"

    911: "Stay calm, sir."

Lets try this again. What is the easiest entrance to NYC near NYU? GW, Lincoln or Holland? I dont know bubkiss about NYC geography, so i dont know the answer. Once we know how we're getting in, then we just pick a place or rest area just outside and we're home free. If we meet just outside the city at 8:30 and shoot to actually LEAVE the area at 8:45, we should be parked by 9:05am.

Dont forget to gas up BEFORE you hit NJ TP or Parkway. Gas is extra on those roads as of Thursday.

Eric, youre knowledge of the North Jersey roadways is unmatched. Youll know how we're entering. At this point, just pick a spot and ill be there.

I live about 15 miles south of where ever we'll enter, so if the Phillie guys coming up want to meet and have fun up to North Jersey, Im in. I drive at a rapid rate and love the company.

Either GW or Lincoon... NYU meet spot is 1st and 34th, which is the East Side. I just prefer to round AROUND the island, as opposed to ACROSS it. Eric agrees.

    Bruce is OUT, btw.

I'm thinkin' we take the GWB and cruise down the East Side Drive (Harlem River/FDR). That will take us directly to the hospital and not "jar our preserves" driving through midtown.

I haven't pinned down the spot, but I'm thinking somewhere on Rt 4 within close proximity of the Bridge. How does Riverside Square Mall work for you all? Large lot, easy access to the highway and very easy to spot from the road. We can meet right in front of Houstons.

Sound like a plan? I say we LEAVE there at 8:30am...

    Thoughts?

    BTW: Great drive.
Down the FDR is always a hair raising experience. But doing it in exotics, in a group, at speed. :D

Thanks for taking the lead, Eric!
