I haven’t had dash lights in awhile and decided to get into it.

Fuses are good. Pulled the pot and took it apart and cleaned the contacts seems fine.

Crossed the terminals on the pot and nothing.

    any help is appreciated

Do your rear number plate lights work?

Does your frunk light work when the sidelights are on?

When you turn on your parking lights with the console button, does the "P" annunciator light work?

Do your daytime flashers work when you pull on the light stalk? (headlights off)

    No plate light

just noticed no tail lights (brake lights work)

not sure about your other q

daytime flashers when pull on headlight stick? That turns on the brights which work

P comes on when turn on parking brakes left front corner out but think that’s just a bulb

Flashers work when pull on headlight stick with headlights off

no trunk light at all but I don’t know if it’s the bulb as I have never seen it work

Sorry, got my wires crossed. I meant to ask if your front foglights work with the console switch, rather than your flashers (with the headlights off). It's the same light, but different activation. I believe on US cars, you need to have your sidelights on to activate the front fog.

Also, do your front marker (sidelights) lights work using the stalk switch.

If all your sidelights are not working using the stalk switch, I suspect relay F is not working. Try percussing it. Check for corrosion on the pins.

Could you clarify this. Did you mean your front sidelights come on with the headlights, but not the rear?

I was originally thinking one of the dual contacts on relay F was the issue. This would affect your front fogs, instrument lights, frunk light, "P<" annunciator light on your dash (console switch activated) and rear plate lights. If the other contact on the relay was also broken, this would affect all your sidelights (using the column switch).

I think both contacts have failed on the relay or the relay coil, but I'll keep looking at the diagram. It's possible that your stalk switch may be playing up.

Many people don't realise that the sidelights have to be on to get the frunk light to work.

Thanks. I keep forgetting that that has a strange circut. If it's operated from the console, it should extinguish if the stalk switch is also turned on (i.e. at the same time).

I'm still having trouble with this. The two statements (edit) seem to be contradicting. Do all the usual tail/front marker and side marker lights come on with the first click on the column stalk?

Thanks. Makes more sense now. All I can suggest is swapping the secondary air relay with relay F to eliminate the relay as being faulty. If you have a 5.2, that's relay L.

Are you asking if relay F is faulty? Yes, hopefully. Or are you asking for a location?

Thanks again Ian I’ll let you know how it goes

I have a crapped out left fan now as well. The links in the DIY thread are dead for replacements. Ugh

An issue with the fan itself, or control?

The left fan is either triggered by the thermostat on the LH radiator or by the AC gas pressure switch mounted on the receiver dryer. The pressure switch turns on the fan when the gas pressure reaches 15 bar/217psi (high demand on AC system).

(EDIT) Relay "Q" (E7) and fuse 23 involved (on the 5.2 car).

    Simplified LH fan diagram here

Power for fan relay "Q" coil comes from ignition relay "P". The earth for Q's coil is provided by
    1) >15 bar pressure switch [07130] or
    2) thermometric switch [03028]

Power from relay P can be interrupted by engine start circuits.

Pretty sure it’s the fan itself. I heard it making an odd sound when idling in the driveway before going out and then temps were running hot on the ride. I think it died but I haven’t looked into it yet other than to read the DIY threads.

The links for the fan man in those threads are dead though
