    I've been waiting for my Stebro exhaust to arrive & have the engine cover & air cleaner off to clean the jets & adjust as necassary. Well I did quick idle & main jet cleaning & was following Birdmans or was it Verrells carb synch tutorial when it said warm car up by a short drive, hmmmmmm. I'm lucky I didn't get ticketed & thown in jail, what a beautiful sound those webers make. If thats what a passenger in a 308 normally hears I'm hiring a driver & I'll sit it passenger seat. It reminded me of the sound of race cars at the track. Why hasn't someone made a mic/amp/speaker deal that relays that wonderful wail to the passenger compartment. My air cleaner still has the sound deadning & metal in it, I may have to send it to the recycling bin!

    Early 308's had the air intake on the driver's side. Believe it or not Ferrari moved it to the other side so you wouldn't have to hear it all the time.

    308 carb air box mod - let them puppies breathe

    i dont know how to capture a url for this thread, but so a search on the above and it will get you there - this is one of the best things i have done to my 308 carbie.
