    Excuse me for missing something, but where has Speed stated they're not running F1 in 2006? I haven't seen any such press release.

    Sounds like the situation is unclear at best. I can't see a statement on their website either way.

    Sorry, you're completely wrong. Speed TV DO have the rights for 2006, and have permission to have on site broadcasting finally. Where do you people get your information from? A 15 second google search would have turned this up:

    Actually I don't mind having sent them an email and signed the petition. It is about time they realize that there are fans out there who appreciate racing outside of NASCAR.

    Thanks. I remember in horror the dark ages of the early nineties where the internet was something for university geeks and it depended on the morning mood of the ESPN executive whether to air a GP or not.

    Popquiz: Who spoke "my" words in post #6 originally and at what occasion? Hint: It is something equally close to my heart as F1.

    Advertising = $$$$ = Business. NASCAR fans had their own petition. More of them, much much less of us. I like both, but I watch every F1 live, I watch maybe 5-6 NASCAR races live all year. I am still looking for DTM and BTCC live!

    It's way too early in the season to speculate. Speed and Bernie always have negotiations go down to the last week or so. Back in 01 or 02, can't remember which year, it went down to the Friday practice session before Speed had the contract ironed out.

    This always happens with Bernie and co.
