AOL Cars doesn't update very often. The following Stradale models at Miller Motorcars all show up on the list even though they are gone by now... Red> 138094 w/1600 miles Titanium> 137659 Red> 136552 All nice low mileage cars at the time. CH
Can you explain to me what the Autocheck issue is with that black one? It says "Specific vehicle use(s) or events reported": "A loan/lien is the legal right to take and hold or sell the vehicle of a debtor as security or payment for a debt. Normally, a vehicle will have a lien due to a loan or unpaid repair bill against the vehicle. Check with the seller to ensure that the lien has been satisfied." and "The vehicle has been reported as used as a fleet, rental, and/or lease vehicle." http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Ferrari-Challenge-Stradale_W0QQitemZ170443873880QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item27af3f1e58#vi-content
I found those entries confusing also. So what if the buyer took out a loan to buy the car or the car was leased? Aren't 99% of cars done that way?
I don't think there is necessarily a negative connotation if a vehicle has had a lien, but it IS important for the buyer to make sure the lien has been satisfied/released in order that title can be properly and quickly transferred. With respect to the fleet/rental/lease vehicle entry, this probably isn't a red flag on a high-end car, but if you were looking at a Chevy Cobalt (or whatever other type of rental car you've most recently flogged), you would probably find that information useful. On a side note, I think the most interesting entry in the history of the vehicle in question is the "Corrected Title" that apparently had to be issued by Indiana after the car had already been re-titled in Illinois, and was then (apparently) being titled again in California. Probably just a clerical/paperwork error, but a little strange nonetheless...
Anyone on this thread interested in trading a 430 Spider 06 or newer for a pristine Scuderia Red CS with 6K miles on a straight trade? Let me know
I didn't, typo. There are 12, and the hole-in-the-floor car isn't even currently listed. I wonder what happened to it, haven't seen it for a while.
The red one in Texas with 12k miles with a Buy-It-Now of $135k looks immaculate. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-360-Challenge-St-04-Challenge-Stradale-Serviced-Up-SUPERIOR-CONDITION-/170517515909?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item27b3a2ce85#ht_38916wt_1166 I'm not a buyer yet, but any info on that one? Just curious.
that one, the other in dallas with 7k miles and the black one in colorado look to be the pick of the litter
Yeah and you dont even get the original wheels........the ones on it dont do the car any justice. IMHO
Because a lot of cars are sold for reasons other than them being fantastic cars. I think the CS is a keeper, but the reality of it is, I drive mine once a month a best.. blame it on having kids. But the car is a "keeper". btw - I count 11 Stradales..2 people listed the word "Stradale" for their 1999 & 2000 Modenas
every time a new ferrari model is released, less than hard-core owners are convinced by their dealer (that they have a special relationship with) that they should "trade up". a bunch went on sale in 2006 when the 430 came out and some more when the scud was released -- and now i think it's the italia. the car is a keeper if you appreciate it's singular purpose.
They do. I'm tempted to go look at the Colorado car. 11 today as one listing expired that was in the count yesterday.
