After only six months of ownership, my Mondial t has gone. Whilst I knew when i bought it that it was only going to be a short term thing, the time has absolutely flown by. I can only say that I have enjoyed every minute of it, even when handing over £2,500 for a service!
However, my wife and I are now expecting a baby shortly and the car had to go. It's nice that although I spent money on it (as you do!), it hasn't really cost me anything other than fuel(!!!!) as I was lucky to be able to sell it on at a price that covered what I had spent on it. Let this be known by all those people out there who, like me, think long and hard about getting a Ferrari but don't because they think they're going to lose £££££££.
In short, I have had a wonderful time with the car and made many people happy by taking them out for runs in it as well as meeting so many friendly guys (and gals) who own far more expensive machines and yet show no signs of disrespect towards a "lowly" Mondial.
Oh well I suppose that instead of going to the Shell garage and getting 30 gallons a week, I'll now be going to Asda and buying 30 nappies a week! Still, who knows, if my numbers come up on Saturday............

    Hi Mike ,

Sorry to read that you have sold the Mondial so soon, but congratulations on the baby. Too many people do not realise how good the Mondial is, I have been using a Mondial t Cabrio all last weekend and it`s a great car to drive.

it`s good to know you did not lose any money when you sold it and I hope the numbers come up soon.

Please keep in touch thru f-Chat and I hope not to meet you when your at work.

    Regards

    Phil.

    Hi Steve,

It was too wet most of the weekend to put the roof down, so I managed too keep the little I have left.

The car was still going well though doing passenger rides all Saturday afternoon.

This is my 100th post now !!!!!

    Regards

    Phil.

    Dear Mike,

Naturally I am sorry to learn of the car going to a new home. However, I am sure that it will be very well cared for. Don't be too sad about it. For you have something infinitely more interesting now and possibly even more expensive to run! This apart, you will, I am sure, acquire another Dream Machine at a later stage. If you find yourself in Hampshire at any time you are most welcome to pop in and visit me at my cottage and have a couple of laps of my local Grand Prix Circuit - colloquially known as the A31 dual carriageway!

Very best wishes and when the baby arrives you must instantly announce it upon this forum - we shall all await this wonderful event with massive interest.

    With kind regards,

    Graham

    Thanks guys,

everyone in work keeps taking great pleasure in going on and on (and on!) about how noisy babies can be because, as the only one on the shift without children, I take great delight in bragging about how much sleep I get off nights when I see them come in to work with matches holding open their darkened eyes. They are so loooking forward to it so they can start getting their own back on me!

Just for the record, I'm "only" 33, I don't know where the 70 yr old thing came from.... Not that when I get there, I wouldn't mind being an "active" 70 yr old, if you know what I mean(cough)

thanks for the offer of the A31 but to be honest, the whole of Gwent at times is a GP track for me.

I'll keep in touch and be looking out for y'all on the stretch between J22 and 30 of the M4. Give me a flash if you're passing.

    Cheers,

    Mike

PS the baby's due 28th December.
