Fuji Speedway has decided not to continue with the Japanese Grand Prix. This means that Suzuka will become the home of the race once again, from this year onwards.

In Japan the decision, which was made by Fuji's owners Toyota, is being seen as another indication that Toyota may be on the verge of quitting F1. However, the team is expected to lodge its F1 entry today and is expected to stay in F1 until 2012.

Why all the negative sentiment? I kind of like Fuji, and always felt Suzuka was one of the more overrated tracks on the circuit.

Suzuka just 'flows', great track. Especially the first corner is fantastic where overtaking is breathtaking.

On GT4, Fuji in the 80s and 90s were awesome to drive. Nice long straight, long corners. Now, the 2005 version just sucks. As usual, Tilke's sh!tty long straights, and tight slow corners. Just like how he destroyed Hockenheim, he destroyed Fuji.

I just hope as hell he won't be allowed to modify circits like Spa, Monza, and Suzuka.

Personally, I like Suzuka's Spoon curve and how it often humbles the best of drivers, rather like the last chicane at Montreal.
