Last night I took my sticky, melted interior parts out and put them in my dish washer. When they were done, I went over them with a 1/2 a roll of paper towels and put them back in. No more sticky, no more black goo.

I used only the cheapest of dish washer soaps so your experience may vary.

BE SURE TO HAVE OLD CLOTHES ON AND LOTS OF RAGS when removing the parts from the car. I had to wash my hands over and over to keep from getting black goo all over the place.

    Have a great one.

Per Ferrari specifications, I wouldn't recommend that you use any dishwasher besides a BOSCH for this exercise.

You're not going to believe this, but it is a BOSCH which might be why it works so well. It does not have a 'dry' cycle. The last rinse cycle is by boiling hot water. I could probably just shuck the dish washer thing and boil the parts for a few to get rid of the stuff.

    Have fun, everyone!

How'd the dishwasher look afterwards? I put a couple of washable A/C filters in mine a year or so ago and my wife still won't get off my a** about it- ha

Suffice it to say it was a mess.
