    Earnhardt was not allowed to pass Petty as Jimmy Johnson was also limited to 7. MS was not allowed to pass JM and LH will not be allowed to pass either.

    MS wasn’t allowed to pass whom? He set the record, surpassing Prost’s 5 titles….by two.

    True, and it would have been at least 11 had it not been for Allan Mcnish's crashes [while in the lead] during the final stint to win ovrall :( . I remember that the next year [I forget the year at the moment] Kristensen made sure that he drove the final stint. :)
