The way things are going i wouldn´t be surprised...By changing Felipe´s Chassis, i think Ferrari is giving him a last chance, if he continues to perform like this, i very much doubt he will end the year at ferrari. Sérgio seems very promissing, and Honestly i´m starting to doubt if Kubica will ever be an option again.....

Oh yes...old followers of Formula One like me know well that rumours are part of the Ferrari lore, just like observing how they are going to come back from the deep...

I dont think it serves Ferrari any good to "motivate" Massa with threats of discharge.
The guy has to be a nervous wreck as is.
He knows the score and Malaysia just might be his last chance.

IMO Just replace him with Perez and be done with it.

Ferrari would love to get some of his backing thrown their way. Carlos Slim is a good fellow to have in your corner too

Ask the typical Mexican what they think of Carlos Slim. He is a scumbag.

Perez is very good, but he would get the seat because it would be bought for him by Slim, as Santander did with Alonso, not because he earned it.

Oh yeah, the guy has a monopoly and rules the roost. Ferrari would like him in their corner meaning $$$$$$. Maldonado style right. Talk about a huge payday for Williams with that guy. Sheesh

True. Slim is a brilliant monopolistic corrupt SOB. The only good thinkg about him is that his son has been pouring big $$ into autoracing and F1.

James Allen wrote an interesting piece about Perez's performance and style vs Kobayashi.

Sushi, tacos, I'm sure they'll take either one over Brazilian cuisine right about now. :)

As mentioned in the other thread I think before Perez can be transferred, it'd be Marc Gene's turn to step in.

Oh, no, please, not another Luca Badoer. The last time Gené raced a F1 car was 10 years ago or so. Even Massa is a safer option.

Actually 2004 was his last time as a racing driver. And I might even be completely wrong as according to Wikipedia Bianchi is Ferrari's official test driver.

I think they'll give him until the European season starts to get it going. I feel bad for the guy because he just hasnt been up to par since his accident, but he has to get the job done to keep his seat.

That sure would be fun to watch, but I'm still beating the Sutil drum, however unrealistic that may be.

    Interesting question.

Probably yes. Kobayashi strikes me as a "young" Massa when he was at Sauber.

OTOH I do think Perez is a great driver as well.

Regardless it will come down to a trade with Sauber: driver for engines and $

Oh well, its only FP1 at Sepang but the order is Massa, Kobayashi, Alonso, Perez, I think its P13,14,15 & 20. looks to me Massa is doing the "least worst" in what is a sub par car. And I think there are more impressive guys around than Perez, he good, but anyone heard of Valterri Bottas? He's sitting there in P9 (I think) and Romain Grosjean has shown Melbourne was no fluke, P5 so far.

I agree. If Massa really can't cut it by Bahrain, then the team must have a sit down with him and discuss and let him know that he's just not the driver he used to be, after the accident. They can keep him in the team, if they want to, but maybe he should focus on GTs with Ferraris or something.

I'm a huge Massa fan. He used to be a quick driver, beating Kimi and occasionally MS. But, facts are facts. He's just not the same driver he used to be. Unless, Ferrari can negotiate with Sauber to exchange him with Koba, sorta loan him out to get his confidence back, etc.

Whatever it is, his time is running out.
