Had a weird issue yesterday. Car has been standing for 3 weeks, plugged into ctek charger. Sun came out [emoji1] and decided to go to gym in it to get it out for a run. Unplugged the charger, jumped in....and nothing. Ignition was on, it went through its usual check with no problem. F1 pump primed, although it didn't sound like it ran for the usual time. (Is a new pump which was installed 5 months ago). Car has given absolutely no issues at all other than the usual no shift issue when the original pump went.

I tried to start it three times and on the forth attempt it fired up, and ran and shifted absolutely fine after that. Has started it today and all seems okay....

    Anyone else had this issue?

try standing on the brake pedal with all your weight. they brake pedal sensor can go bad and you literally need to stand on it with all your force to get the car started

    Concur with the above.

Because most of our F cars go long between drives, I try to cycle everything so nothing gets "stuck". It is also on my calender to warm up every two weeks.

Look at the battery connections to make sure they are not loose. There could have been a temporary open circuit that jiggled closed - loose terminal connection.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Battery connections are both tight and secure.

Standing on the brake pedal didn't work?

Not sure if that was what resolved it. As mentioned it started after the 4th attempt and has been fine since. I did push quite hard on the brake pedal after the first two attempts
