after sitting since 05(9,000 km. on clock, total) my mechanic got the 79 Pete Townshend car running lots of fuel feed problems. cleaned up beautiful with new top and interior. so, I decided to drive it tomorrow to the Cincinnati FCA meet. got ready to leave work and guess what. would not start. good that it happened here. have to drive the Bora. things r so tough for me

You may be the first Bora owner in history who thinks of his car as the old dependable fall-back choice.

I've always loved and wanted a Bora, I know that US safety legislation dictates the bumpers but they really don't enhance the back end of such a beautiful car.

Other than the petrol prices, the cost of living, the crime rate, the weather, the people and everything else I'm glad I live in England !

    Nice!

It's always available to owners to yank those damn things off & return back to the Euro spec.
Like the late model Coutachs, it always amazes me why anyone would not change out those hideous front DOT bumpers (& the rears for that matter) :(

    Hey Mitchell,
This is what a real Bora looks like, note shiny bumper and 4 exhaust pipes - are you sure yours has all its cylinders because it is missing 2 pipes? Steering wheel on the RIGHT side too in mine.
Fabulous car and yes they are reliable, if you maintain them.
Not a good race car though.
