So here is the latest problem. Drove my 95 355 this afternoon. Parked it to go to a meeting. Jumped back in and now the tach either doesn't work or jumps around like a old Smith chronometric( you know those Peter!). If I tap the glass it will move like it is stuck internally. So I don't think it is a sensor or sending unit. Should I take it out and send it to Hollywood speedo or just look for a new one? Thanks for any help.

If you need a new (used) one, we could probably help.

Slap the dash, David. See if the movement is stuck.

Otherwise, take it out and send it to No. Hollywood Speedo or Palo Alto and have them fix it.

-Peter (Tach? You don't need no stinkin' tach!)

I posted to your other thread..remove the binacle (two screws from below) and check/clean all the connections, and check grounds. Could be just a loose or dirty connection.
