I am sure this has been covered. I did a search but my Google Fu must be weak.

I decided to try and get my AC working. I checked the signal where it plunges into the compressor. I get 0v. It is a yellow wire. If I trace it back it looks like it was spliced into the white wire at this plug. You can see where it has shrink wrap where they meet.

I separated the plug and checked the voltage. It showed .4 volts. The fuse is good, I checked it and my heater fans work, same fuse, I believe.
Is there a relay the AC runs through? Where is the pressure switch on these cars?
    Thanks.

The high and low AC pressure switches are located on the AC Dryer under the front bonnet. Do a search using "AC high low pressure" in the 308/328 section for prior threads with pictures.

PS The stock arrangement is separate high and low switches, but the modern arrangement is a combination high/low pressure switch -- and many cars have been updated to the later style if replacement was necessary.

Thanks. The system had some work done a few years ago, according to the receipts. It should be charged. I need to check to make sure it has the proper pressure.

To test the clutch ,even without gas simply place a jumper or the pressure switch(s) wires after unplugging them .
It or both of them are located by the dryer in the front .
You can do this with the ignition on and AC obviously switched on . Then test the V @ the comp wires should be 12 v .
With the clutch connected you should hear it click and be unable to turn the pulley by hand ( engine off btw )

Low P switch are the green wires so disconnect Andy jump the two brown .This turns it on mimics pressure within spec .

If you’re getting no voltage at the AC compressor wire, check the relay, pressure switch, wiring, and system pressure, any of these could break the power path
