  1. The Noble is around 57k without the engine. Why does the engine & transaxle cost 23K? Isn't it a Taurus v6(or some other Ford car engine) & a getrag transaxle and a couple of turbos? I guess it seems to me that If I can buy a crate 426 hemi for 12k, then a v6 out of a Taurus should be a lot less?

i think its because its a fairly highly tuned TT v6. I vaguely remember hearing its the v6 out of the ford contour SVT.

    the 98 CSVT engine had 195hp @ 6625 rpm and 167 ft-lb at 5625 rpm.

the noble m400, the higher of the two nobles, engine has 425hp at 6500 rpm and 390 ft-lb at 5000 rpm. pretty big jump

Yeah, with a 0-60 time that matches the Enzo, i'd say the M400's Taurus TT engine is just slightly tuned... :)

    Where's Bill...?

It's a Roush engine. Nothing Jack does comes cheap, but the engine is perfectly suited to the chassis and provides more thrills than a barrel of junkies.
