Hi all, I have a 2018 Lusso and there’s a noise from the rear which starts about 60mph and disappears about 80. It’s like the sort of noise you get when a wheel bearing goes - like a whirring / drone noise. It does it in any gear too. You can play with it on the throttle, so it’s load rather than any balance type issue. Ferrari say it’s a very common issue on the Lusso and it’s the diff causing a resonance but they don’t have a fix. It’s fairly loud and I’m reluctant to accept a car of this value makes a noise right at your cruising speed. Anyone else had this?
Hello Mark. Welcome to the forum and I can only apologise for the lack of replies. Judging by the sound of silence, it looks like nobody else has come across the problem which you’re suffering. It seems that you’ve been unlucky with your particular car and your sensitivity to the resonance. There’s another FChatter with an FF and the low speed resonance in his car was driving him crazy and he was just unlucky to have a car which was prone to the noise and he was also particularly sensitive to it.
You can try a different gear oil to help.. on the 430 motul seems to be quieter Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Hi @ANOpax thanks for the reply! I think the lack of replies confirms my fears. Sounds like it’s not a known issue. I only got the car recently from a main dealer and they are going to let me try 2 others as they are sure they all make the same noise. Will keep you posted @flash32 thanks also, might be an idea although I’d guess dealer will only stick to the grade in the manual.
Grade and brand two different things ..the grade is 75w90 ..motul is the brand ..just a thought Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
