for the past few days i noticed that after driving my car for a few miles when im coming to a stop (in gear or neutral) it has a sort of light rythmic scraping noise coming from the drivers rear wheel. its random and it becomes more frequent the more miles I drive the car on a single drive.
I read several threads and I ordered new transmission/transaxle oil from redline and while I was under the car I replaced all oils. I did a visual inspection and did not see anything obvious signs of damage like oil or grease stains on any shaft or covers. After the oils were changed the car shifts very smooth but the noise is still there.

I also checked the transmission and engine mounts and they look OK.

The noise follows a steady rythm as is it were a point of contact on the disk and the brake pad but the fact that it does it more while making a right turn it kind of makes me doubt its that. (THIS IS JUST A THEORY)

    Any Ideas???

By the way its a 2001 360 spider and it has 46765 miles on it.

Im hoping for something as simple as a good greasing, but with my luck I know i wll need parts. so if someone would point me in the right direction of what to buy or what to change I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any help on the subject...

Have you checked you brake pads, sounds like they may be worn out.

Check out the bearings on that particular wheel. Sounds like it could be worn (check the covering/boot, and see if's been cracked). I had that same problem in my previous car.

    good luck.

Turning tight say into a drive at low speed could be the LSD winding up on a hard unforgiving surface like tar.
You can try a simple test by flicking the car into N and cruising into the same tight turn at the same speed and you get no lash, no fighting the steering so to speak.

Thanks for the info, I checked the pads and grease boot and pads are ok and boots are not torn nor dry, so the bearing is the most logical option. I guess ricambi will be hearing from me again...
