Non-Authorized Service dealer sign

Wondering if anyone has seen these or knows the history on them. I saw one sold on bring a trailer for a decent sum, and looks like maybe the buyer made a box around it and listed it on ebay for a significant increase. I picked this one up the other day and trying to figure out what its story and worth. Either way a cool sign for the garage I will light up and enjoy while I work paper trail free on my car.

My sign which is the only I have seen where the line across the top of the Ferrari is present.

Looks like Mecum Auctions sold one with the same spelling, and correct ferrari with long F. Cant find the sale price though.
