When I put my car in "D", I hear some high-pitch grinding noise, but I don't hear it in "P", "R", and "N". What do you think the problem can be?
Yeah, and got the fluid changed just a month ago. I can hear it at idel when it's in "D". I started after I did a CRAZY burnout..... somehow could that mess up my tranny that bad? (but I do that all the time, but this is the first time with this problem.)
So lets sum up. you have done a lot of "crazy" burnouts in the past. You did another "crazy" burnout and your transmission is now having a problem and YOU don't think they can be related because you did it all the time?
unfortunately, the last burnout may have been the proverbial" Straw that broke the Camel's Back". I'd suggest pulling the pan and looking for metal savings, or any unusual or excessive particulate matter present before driving the car . You may still have enough left to rebuild, and pushing a "cripple" may mean a whole new unit. JMO Kermit
ur gonna open the pan and metal shaving are gonna go EVERYWHERE, and the girl on ur arm wont get any slimmer.
Your'e welcome. Taking away the arguement that "burnouts are good or bad", (we have all done our share at one time). Let me pass on two excellent uses for an extra windshield washer pump and tank. First off , burnouts are no doubt hardest on the drivetrain when you start, once the rubber starts melting, there is not much resistance. Get an extra windshield washer pump, and direct the spray to the top of the tire, a short blast gets them turning, and burns off quickly without as much strain. Second use: spray a combination of water/alky sprayed in front of the radiators when overheating. As it hits the radiator fins and evaporates, it really adds cooling effects, which can be damn handy in traffic! Kermit
