The sticky luring new posters seems to have gotten several new voices on this board--myself included--so if this is an old question, perhaps there will be some fresher answers...
Why haven't you bought a Ferrari?
For me, the following reason(s), but mainly, it's FEAR!

    1) I live 7 hours from the nearest Ferrari dealer. What if I have a problem I can't solve myself? Yikes.
    2) What would my wife do? Would she go in search of a smarter husband?
    3) 'Fiscal Responsibility' is a by-law in my family. Enough said.
    4) My constituents would rebel! I'm due for an ousting anyway, but I'd really
prefer to go quietly, without controversy.

O.K. I've bared my soul. What's your excuse?

    - Could have afforded a Mondial, 400 or a high miles 308, but would have been broke if something broke.
    - Already odd man out among grad student friends for driving a new Subaru that my wife and I bought ourselves, we already struggle enough with false perceptions.
    - No covered garage at the time.

Money. If I had the money, then I'd probably get a 360/430 spyder and then a Murcie.

I like my cars to increasingly get better. :D

    In front of you
Always wanted the next one better than I could afford

Now that I'm in the second half of my life, I decided on reality to get one I could afford, (well, almost afford) a 360 Modena (I really want a Stradale).

Im sure if I sold my car (and the other car just sitting at our house), then put some a couple more thousand towards it, I could buy a beat up GT4 or something, but that would end up being more money than its worth. That and Im only 16.

O.K., So we got fear, economics, age, confusion, mis-guided aesthetics. Hmmmmm. I expected the first 3 reasons, but the last two leave me puzzled!

Insurance, affording the car itself isn't so much of a problem but I can't justify paying those premiums now when if I wait a few more years (ie get older) the TCO goes down dramatically....

I can afford a 308/328 right now, but really want a TR. So I'm just being patient until I can get what I have always wanted, instead of settling for anything with the prancing horse on the nose.....although the temptation to give in has been there MORE than once.

Pffft... Not even a Ferrari dealer in my country (double yikes) :( and yes - money is the main reason. Seriously underfunded at the moment and without a job that would see me coming close to the realisation of a dream quickly.

Why buy the cow when the milk is free?
Ok, so a horse would be more apropriate.

But have you ever tried to milk a frick'n Horse!
