Well, Ash has spotted one on Stag Corner, Gunmetal Grey and there's also another one around Adelaide apparently. There's also a couple at Solitaire so I don't think his is the only.

Hope it goes well, I've got one lined up with a white commodore in July, can't tell you how nervous I am.

Yeah I've seen the grey one around before. Looks pretty good!

What do you mean by there's a few at Solitaire? Do you mean they're sitting there waiting to be sold?

They all look good, regardless of what colour. :D

I should say, there's been a few at Solitaire. I don't know if there's one there at the moment, last time I looked there was a red S5 Coupe that looked the goods.

I've seen a Silver one, Red one, Grey one and they had a Black one according to MHH.

And there's also the one that was supplied by Solitaire for the Murray Walker's Extreme Machines Display at the Clipsal 500.

So I'd say there are definitely a few running around Adelaide which is very cool.

BTW, welcome to F-Chat. I'm the one that hasn't finished school

I've seen the red S5 demo around a few times... but that's it. I guess they're still pretty thin on the ground.

One of the dealers and I are trying to convince Dad to upgrade his Q7 to an R8, but Dad's determined to get a GT-R instead. Can't say I blame him, really, although an R8 would be the business. If there's one just sitting there, maybe... maybe... but probably not. He'd want the diesel, but that's no good because they've taken out the "golf club" shelf to fit the engine and junk in the back, and if there's one thing he needs... it's space for golf clubs :)

Cheers for the welcome. I escaped from school years ago, now I just gotta finally escape from university...

Yeah, the red S5 is the only one I've seen around, I think they appeal more to the Chapel Street cafe street scene.

About the GT-R, I think the R8 definitely looks better. Some have branded the R8 as a "TT with attitude" but it's much more with looks and performance. I know which one I'd pick. :) Maybe buy another car (just a crapbox) and use that for going to the golf clubs/supermarket etc.?

I agree, the R8 is better looking... though the GT-R can look good in the right colour. Pity about the irritating boy racer interior though. Still, despite our best efforts he's ordered one, and given the R8 a miss. Oh well. I'm just sick of him buying something then deciding he doesn't like it for whatever reason I pointed out before he ordered it :)

Back to spotting things... yesterday I saw some guy in a face lifted Cayenne (looked like the V6) who'd replaced the "Cayenne" badge with a "Carrera" badge :(

Well, you can always cancel the order. ;)

Just kidding, I'm sure your dad will enjoy the GT-R. Has he specced it out yet?

It's a pity he didn't order the R8 because Adelaide needs more exotics and the GT-R doesn't quite count.

Oh yes, lots of Porsche horror stories out there, I saw a 996 Carrera with a GT3 spoiler a few months ago.

Last I heard he hasn't - still waiting for details from the dealer or something. Not entirely sure.

The GT-R doesn't cut it as an exotic... I can live with that, but him not letting me drive it after some of his past driving incidents is going to be a pain in the arse :)

I think he's over the whole exotics thing though. Before I was born he bought a 308 of some type, and didn't really like it. He sold it after a year or so to buy a new tractor and other stuff for the farm, then Ash Wednesday came along and destroyed the new uninsured tractor. He hates talking about it so finding out the real story is almost impossible. I think it pretty much killed him as an exotics buyer :(

Well, do you have any idea what colour he wants etc??

The GT-R isn't exotic but it's uber cool. It'll still be branded as a ricer etc which is a pity. :(

Sad about the tractor, it's a pity he's turned off them. But an R8 would look good in anyone's garage..;)

    Back to spotted.

Aston DB9, same one as a couple of nights ago. Didn't have the camera again but I'm sure you know what a DB9 is like.

One day I'll get it. :)

millard said Lambo on fire (replaced the tractor), and i said lambos don't need to set on fire, they burn themselves.
