    In England we have a large network of non-franchise service specialists - usually started by fully trained franchise factory mechanics - does the same thing exist in Europe ?

    Could we maybe develop a list as a resource for people who takae their cars accross Europe ?

    A good place is Ferrari-Frey of Luzern (Switzerland). They used to be an official franchise, they have a long experience with F-cars and they still sell new cars (although not through the official network). Their mechanics know how to work on anything from a Daytona to an F40 to one of the latest models. I know there are some swiss F-chatters who have had their car serviced there regularly.

    I know a couple of very good non offiical guys in the Varese (north italy) area. Both are very well prepared and charge a fraction of the official Ferrari services.

    Come on what about Germany Belgium and Holland ? You must have good service shops who are not franchise dealers

    Thanks - are we really to believe that all our German friends only use franchise dealers - surely not ?

    Also maybe Spain & France ?
