I was wondering if anyone knows how hard it would be to change a non skyhook to a skyhook?

Why would you want to do that? I wish I could change mine from a Skyhook to a non-skyhook. But to answer your question it would be very expensive, if you could find anyone remotely even knowledgeable in Maseratis. Not to mention all the warranty hassels that the stealer would give you.

It would cost a lot more money than it is worth.

Why would you want to remove your Skyhook? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Although I've lowered my car thanks to Skyhook, I find it a useless feature. With Sport mode off it rides like a limp Lexus, with sport mode on (which it is at all times) it rides as firmly as a non-skyhook car. Personally I'd get a non-skyhook Maser. and then spend some $$ to throw on some aftermarket coilovers (which also lower the car) and give better handeling car.

You are the first Maserati owner I have ever come across who doesn't want Skyhook on their car.

Why wouldn't you want the ability to have a softer ride? Do you live somewhere where all of the roads are as smooth as billiard tables? Here in Michigan, where the roads are as bad as anywhere, Skyhook is an absolute must.

Hehe, good point. I can see how a softer ride would come in handy in Michigan. But here in Scottsdale, we are spoiled by smooth, sun-baked ruberized roads which are rollerblade worthy.
Call me a purist but I like to track the car and I find that the heavy weight and the less than stellar skid pad road holding numbers 0.85 could use some improvement. BTW, over on the Maserati forum, there are a few guys who prefer non-Skyhook for the above mentioned reasons.

I'm one of those guys. I am looking at coil-overs for the track -- can't do that with a Skyhook.
