    I'm 1500 miles into my '16 F12. So far, so great. As so many here have reported, the car is really phenomenal. It has mind boggling range--from lazy GT to insanely high performance sports car.

    Everything seems perfect, but I do have one "is it supposed to do that?" question: there is a persistent (pump) noise from the other side of the fire wall. It does not seem speed dependent or engine speed dependent, but it is loud enough to be mistaken for ventilation mechanicals. Is this the standard engine room noise? Is my pump just louder than it should be? Or?

    I hear the metal clatter of gears, possibly tranny coming from center forward...but not something I would describe as a "pump" sound.

    I got those too--which sound great to me. I think this is an pump of some kind that is just too loud. Likely an issue of some kind.

    I hear a pump like noise too at idle, can't hear it when moving. If it's a issue, will wait till it explodes :)

    In the FYI category: the car is in having snows put on, and I asked the dealer to check the noise. I was told it is "oil hydraulic pump" noise. Fair enough, but it still sounds too loud to me. I'll stick to the ride it "until it explodes" plan, and keep you posted. :)

    It is normal as far as I was told and not had problems at all.
