month back I got a Scuderia with feeling that Ferraris are only for show, nice but does not work well on track, brakes often etc. Well specially at nordschelife drivers have 911GT3s and M3s in many forms and Ferrari is barely visible and if so it goes just 2 very slow laps and go home. To me I still wanted to try. So the past month of my ownership I did:

    - 35 Nordchleife laps on Eastern with 1500 highway miles on top. Found the car unstable, bad in corners, with bad brake pedal feel. I said ok, it's car for show, not for lap times. It's nice, noisy but not machine like GT3...

So I changed pads (Endless Attack), changed Tires to new Trofeo R (stock sizes) and adjusted alignment to nearly stock values (-2 front, 1,9 rear on camber) as we found it was just -1 on the car front, 1,5 back.... and drove to Nordschelife again, on trial this time to save some kilometres

    - it was GranTursmo event, not many cars, 2 full days, very low traffic. On Thursday weather was cold and I started lapping round 8:20 whole lap in Race mode. Than I switched to CT off what really transforms the car and shaved 13 seconds on it and started to be satisfied.

On Friday since 11AM the conditions started to be perfect. 18C, dry track, very very low traffic. So I started with half the tank a pushed.. 8:03 and I start thinking to stop as there was safety car, not much gas etc.. but hell let's fight for more when still here

    - The next one was 7:59:06 whole lap around. If I set the start/finish point in Driftbox tools to measure like Sport Auto does (It's the values You see in magazines, wiki etc where the T13 boxes length is not counted) it's 7:55:6...

what is most important that I did sub 8 with feeling that it can go again same easily, lap by lap just low traffic needed.

What a car! In not even 4 weeks I did over 80 laps on the Nordschelife, couple laps on Brno racetrack and some street and highway, city center, shopping etc. together a bit crazy 4.900km.. Not a single issue, no oil topped, no brake fade, no tires gone, no overheat on single component.

I have to say I'm in love with it. I wouldn't believe I 'd ever say that again after M3CSL. How the whole system works with CT off is just amazing, it gives You all massive the power than and can be easily handled even little over limit with wheel spin.

I hope to post some pictures once available.

Can't wait to see photos. Ferraris are unfairly characterized as all show and no go probably because a large percentage of modern Ferrari owners (at least here in the U.S.) use theirs as a fashion accessory for getting coffee at Starbucks. Yet mine runs like a Swiss watch and burns no oil even during hard driving sessions. I can't say the same for my old M3 which burned oil like it was gasoline. And don't assume that Porsches are bulletproof (996/997 IMS failure) either. I have a Cayman S which I would love to drive at a track day. But while it appears to be exempt from the IMS fiasco, the early ones like mine suffer from oil starvation issues under high cornering loads.

Great to hear of another owner driving one of these as they were intended. Enjoy that Scud.

My friends were there as well, here is two great picture taken at the track...
I hope to join the i the fall or next spring. Next stop for Ringrunners of Sweden is Rudskogen, a track located not far from Oslo in Norway.
I think the 430 Scuderia in the pictures has about 20000 miles (mainly on track) on the clock and never missed a beat...
