Hi Everybody My english is too bad to explain what I need, so please look at the picture to understand. I need the distance between the middle of the wheel and the body of the car, for the front and the back. The original factory distance or the distance you get with a perfectly original car with perfect working dampers. You may have seen that some cars look too high and others not enough. So what's the rightful mesure ? Thanks ! Paul Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am also intrested in the same issue. I suppose there is differences between 365, 400 and 412. looking forward to answers I wish all members in the "400 community" a happy new year
Paul; Until you get your specific ? answered, go here & check out the OM for general specifications. It'll show the total height of the car. It seems to me that when the car is not at the specified height, it is because the rear self-leveling suspension is riding a little low (which can be adjusted by rotating the leveling valve mount on the swaybar). I believe all 4 corners of the car bumpers (top edge) should be at the same height, rendering the indent belly strip that runs down the side of the car level. If memory serves me correct, my Series 2 400i bumper tops sit at a height of about 21" with stock TRX wheels & tires. Oh, & if you do adjust the leveling valve, drive the car around a little so the shocks settle in & recheck your heights. http://www.400register.com/manuals/general.asp Bruce
All OM's for the 400 to the 412 show total height @ 1314 mm / 51.7" & the 365gt4 to be 1/2 mm higher. Below is the homologation papers for the Series 2 that will show some other height info.. http://www.400register.com/manuals/assets/400i-hom-82.pdf
