My son will be entering the eighth grade this year so I need to ramp up my high school search. I'm looking for opinions/suggestions on public high schools in northern Broward or Palm Beach county. I'm doing my research online but nothing compares to hearing first hand experience. I was originally going to move to Parkland for MSD but I'm afraid that school is just too much of a political lightning rod now. I could be wrong but I think it's going to be difficult for them to focus on "normal" schooling anytime soon. No way I'm going south as it is too crowded for me. North is better. Private is just too damn expensive as I also have a daughter. I'll consider private as a last resort but I'd rather put that money into a home or save for college. Anyone have their kids in a school they'd recommend?
