    Hello All,

My 14 year old son and I will be venturing to your part of the world (from Alabama) to attend JH Ranch in Etna, CA on July 20. We fly in to Sacramento, and have a day and a half to do "something" as we make our 4-5 hour drive north on 5 to Etna.

What fun car sites, museums, race tracks, dealerships or ??? would any of you recommend? Even if not purely car related but high on your list of 'to do's' any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.

    Thanks so much!

GREAT suggestions! Keep 'em coming... this is exactly the kind of input we were looking for. I'm doing my best to make sure my son gets a good infusion of 30 weight (now synthetic) in his veins while still impressionable!

Thanks a ton. More suggestions are even more welcomed... we'll choose together.

Way off topic, but great fun would be to do some white water rafting. The Merced is right on your way and while very fun and scenic, it is not especially difficult or dangerous.

Santana Row in San Jose is great place to get a cup of coffee on Saturday mornings. Large, informal meet of exotic owners. I have taken my nine year-old there. He really enjoyed it.

If you are going north on 5, about 1-1 1/2 hrs north of Sac, is Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA. It's only 6 miles off the freeway and is a great track.

Agreed. And as a past buyer of your Motovanti intake pipe for my old 328, I would have liked to have met you. Santana Row is a hike, but is pretty cool. I think I will be out of town that weekend though at Road America for the Brian Redman races........

I was loving the Santana Row suggestion, but is heading me way off course. Any other exotica hangouts heading North from Sacramento?

Hey Husker, would love to meet you too, but understand the Redman races may pull rank on me. You taking your 348 to the races?

Thanks for the input - more is better to fuel my A.D.D! Keep it coming. We're putting together a nice list of things to do, what we DON'T get to we can do on the backside of the trip. (I have an extra day there as well.)

No Noah that was not mine. LMC has sold quite a few 360's in the area though.

If you visit the Blackhawk Auto Museum on a weekend (or even a weekday) there is a high propability you'll see some nice exotics driving around Danville. We've got Ferraris and Lamborghinis galore around here.
