North Carolina FCA End-of-Year Blowout!

Please join your fellow FCA members in North Carolina on Saturday, November 13th:

This event will have something for everyone -- the concourse fans will be astounded at the craftsmanship at Sports Leight, hardcore drivers will enjoy another Bob Snow rally (where navigation and acceleration are NOT mutually exclusive), and everyone will love the Il Palio and Sienna Hotel. With our cars safely tucked away for the evening, the Barolo and Brunello can flow and we'll have plenty of time to recount our 2004 Ferrari adventures.

If you missed our VIR track day this spring, shame on you!
If you missed the Bermuda Run rally, shame on you!
If you missed our bleary-eyed F1 viewings, shame on you!
If you only joined the FCA for the Pracing Horse magazine, shame on you!
...Now is the time to join the fun, make some new friends, see your old chums... November 13!!

A small registration fee of $25/person will be required, and the hotel/dinner will be "pay as you go". (Heck, I've seen some of you folks eat, and I'm not picking up the tab for that one!). Please make your hotel reservations ASAP with the hotel, and check the www.fca-nc.com or www.fca-se.com for actual registration details.

If you have any questions, please contact Bob Snow via [email protected]

The details, including the fee and the hotel, are different than what's in the FCA NewsBulletin calendar and on the FCA-SE website...? I'll edit it to match the FCA-NC website, and I'll submit the change to the NewsBulletin Calendar.

Folks -

Formal invitations will be sent via US Mail later in the week to everyone on Bob Snow's FCA membership roster. If you're not an FCA member, make to sure contact him directly via PM: Mr. FCA-North Carolina If we can't find you, it's hard to invite you!!

I've already heard from a ton of people and it looks like this will indeed be a blockbuster. Even if you can't attend the whole event, please try to join us for some of the individual venues. khughes, dcdc, phong69, n24re, and all you "stealth" North Carolina folks.... you're being called out!

I keep you updated with the attendee count.

Forza Ferrari !

I will try to make the rally or a least meet up with you guys for dinner. I'll probably pass on the tour of Sportsleicht but maybe we can rally past a Dockside Dolls and get a tour there. LOL!

Spectators are welcome to see all the cars at the Siena Hotel but the Pinehurst - Chapel Hill route is secret. We would be positively pleased to see Lambos in the event, or Maseratis, Alfas, Fiats, even Vipers or Vettes! Keep checking www.fca-nc.com for the latest event updates & schedules. You don't have to be an FCA member to attend, you just have to pay (but be aware we're going to be recruiting you).

CAFE crew, don't be shy! I'll make you an offer.... for each CAFE member that recruits 2 other paying attendees, I'll cover your $25 registration fee. I've got new rubber, fresh brake fluid, and hopefully (dcdc!) many new liters of Mobil1. Let's roll!

Jeremy: this event would be perfect for Nilda; get off yer' bum and register, or go hang out with the other "stuffed shirt" Benz drivers. :)

iceburns88: ahem ?

Dr. S? Who wants to be in Blowing Rock in mid November anyway?? Brrr...

TinBender? Bring the vintage stuff, and show us wimps what "12 up front" sounds like !

St. Tully... Given our likely rally behavior, we need a lawyer. C'mon !

Phong69: No F1 races this time! Trust me, you'll have fun !

Morrie? See comments about Dr. S. Brrr...

Anyone familar with the "Oak Tree" corner at VIR? Let's just say that my pristine 348 took a little ride in the red clay mud. It was sexier than hell -- mud all over the Ferrari, burning brakes, and the nagging "oh crap" feeling. FYI: Mud has a way of really getting sucked into those door strakes. It took hours to dig it all out. :) The only consolation was being able to see the dirt tracks all over the Grand Course throughout the day.

It's all cleaned up today and I'm ready for more!

KEVIN: Let's get some pictures of your baby Ferrari on Fchat. I'll bet even NNO (aka Carbon McCoy) can't identify the make.
