    So here's the deal

    Saturday April 9th
    7:30am
    Barnes & Noble Parking Lot(starbucks)
Mansell Rd just East of GA400

The full drive will be about 4-5 hrs but there are plenty of places along the way for you to break off if you can't make it the entire time.

All makes & models of Porsches welcome! Let's beat last fall where we had over 35 cars :D

sorry STEEDA - didn't mean to impart on your drive.

This will be for those that can't make the drive on 3/19 or who want to do 2 drives. This is the same group that did the drive last December.

Hope to see some of you out there!

as far as the numbers - i can only guess. so many people say they're coming and don't show up while just as many just show up without saying anything. I imagine it'll be about the same size as last time which was approximately

    30 porsches
    5 ferraris
    1 pantera
    1 mustang (slightly modified :) )

i'm about 3-4 mos away from my first ferrari purchase and i'd love to see more Fcar owners out

Having made the run just three weeks ago, I wasn't in the mood to do it again, but I was prepared to go down there at 7:30 to at least see what showed up, and possibly accompany the group just up to the top end of GA-400. But 7:30 just turned out to be too early, especially since I had gone to an Arena League football game on Friday night.

But--does anyone have any photos from the run?

sorry to have missed you Jim - but you would've been the only Fcar there??? :( but had about 30-35 porsches and a few BMW M's along with Bob's Pantera :) We ended up leaving about 8:15am and experienced a little traffic until we got to blood mountain. Unfortunately if we don't get up there by 8:30am, all the buicks & motorhomes clog up the road ways. We had plenty of "hillbillies" trying to not let us pass and threatening our safety but once we passed blood mountain, it was clear - so clear that a group got pulled over for doing more than double the speed limit(safely of course). Luckily the trooper understood and let everybody go :D

One of the drivers brought along an amateur photographer who said he snapped over 600 pics! Hopefully he'll make 'em available soon! I'll post the link over here when he does.

We generally don't have that much problem with "hillbillies"; on our trip there was a slow Toyota Previa for a little bit, then a Volvo wagon a bit later. I think they're more likely to move over for red Ferraris than silver Porsches, I guess. We didn't see any Buicks or motorhomes, but three weeks later (and quite a bit warmer) may have made a big difference.

A young friend with an MGB says he's done that trip with Triumphs, Lotuses, Jaguars--it seems to go by nationality: one week the Italians, another week the Germans, then the British, the Miatas, etc. etc.
