Guys, would all of you that are going this next Sunday please confirm on here before Thursday if poss.Gotta call Clive @ JCT with final numbers on Friday am.Going to make a small change to the route to incorparate a super road bettween the A59 and the B6265 over the tops which has great scenery and little traffic. This will take us through Bewerley and Pateley Bridge eventually.I went through there the other day with the Tubi reverberating off the shops as the streets are pretty narrow through there.
As previously mentioned i'll hand the maps out on Sunday and post all times on here on Thurs ev.We'll go whatever the weather.Fingers crossed.

    Hi Simon,

Don't panic. Just wanted to know if your counting the 328 on pistonheads as one of your group.

Hope the weather is dry. Sunny would be a major plus.

We now have 80 cars, with a major range from TVR and a stack of lotus.

    Cheers
    Chris

Ok, so Sunday is a go,we'll meet at JCT 600 at between 10.45 and 11.00am. Me, Ric and Mark are meeting at Birch services eastbound on the M62 at 10am so if anyone is coming that way feel free to join our mini convoy! We'll set off from JCT no later than 11.30 I reckon,so should be at Bolton Abbey an hour or so later. We can decide how long to stay at B. abbey depending on the turnout but looks like it could be very busy with plenty to see.I was thinking an hour to hour and a half? Nice cafe there as mentioned before. Then off to Ripon via some very wicked roads!! See ya all Sunday!

just posted a message on the recent "polish" thread and thought maybe others here may be interested.
i am due to meet glynn at specialist cars in malton (nth yorks) before 4 pm on the day of the rideout.....they are stockists of zymol, and i am set to replenish my own stocks.
is anybody on the rideout interested in maybe visiting malton later on, and hopefully we could request a demonstration, samples, coffee etc ?
i will have no pc access after 5pm tonight, so we would need numbers sharpish.
    regards, david

hi guys, im gonna be brutally honest here and say if the rain continues to throw it down, I wont be coming along......the main reason is like most F cars, mine leaks!!! only a little as I found when washing her last week after finally picking her up and secondly im going on holiday on fri....which leaves me no time to wash her etc.

im gutted, why do we have all the nice weather last week and sh*t weather this week!!! anyway ill keep my eye on the weather as i only live 5 mins from JCT600 and hopefully the weather will clear a little.

I think ive got ur mobile number simon so ill txt to let u know if ill be there b4 11.30 or i may just head straight to B A.

hi i have just looked in my ferrari handbook it says when it rains you turn on the windscreen wipers and drive to the wet conditions not crap yourself and turn the heater on in the garage and pamper the car like most porsche owners simon has go to a lot of trouble to orginaze this so i will be there cos my fcar works in the rain so all who dont turn up can watch the london marathon on tv which people run in the rain so i dont understand why you cant drive in the rain

    hahaha...at least im honest...

i could have made some excuse up!!! but i didnt and anyway nothing wrong with being a proud owner of my 1st F car and considering only took delivery 2 weeks ago its still all new to me

so would be appreciated a little less sarcasm and more understanding for a newcomer to the F world!!!

Well we ended up with 3 355's and steve's monster 512.So a 50% turn out.Yea the weather was crap to begin with but it cleared up mostly by midday. Bolton abbey was dry and then we had a superb run to Ripon, I think Richard missed a turning and Steve we lost you in Ripon so it ended up just me and Mark!! My hood pissed in water to begin with and the car looks like its been driven through a ploughed field but we all had a good laugh and really enjoyed it! We frightened lots of other drivers today anyway such as the bloody Renault Espace driver who would'nt pull over for miles and nearly lost it on a bend! I'm a little worried as the Tubi did'nt just pop on high rev gearchanges but bloody exploded on 3 occasions leaving a cloud of smoke in the mirror.Hmm.From now on we're going out to play at least once a month and our resident photographer Ric will no doubt be posting some pics later! Off to wash the 355 now. Then its going out to play again tonite! I think when it sees me walking out in a minute its gonna be thinking oh no not again..
