Yes, that was indeed me. Would have enjoyed chatting with you and hope we can meet at next week's event.

Like you, would have enjoyed seeing more Italian cars, though next week's event there should be many more as it is strictly an Italian event and does not conflict with any other car show events.

FYI: The DVD player is MUCH more than that. Besides the usual GPS, MP3/CD music it also uses GPS combined with gyro's to analyze forward/back and right/left G-forces as i drive, slope, acceleration, etc. Quite an interesting "toy".

What i must admit is my personal disgust at those who walk away from their car for extended periods (not just for bathroom/food/etc breaks) and wholly ignore talking to the show goers about their car. i mean, why bring your car to a show if you are NOT going to answer any questions about the car???? Alas, guess some feel that just bringing their car to a show is "good enough" (???), so why bother answering questions about their vehicle to the lowly public.

Am ALWAYS happy to answer questions, explain various technical questions, etc. In fact i plan to burn about 20 CD-R discs with the PDF of the engine blueprint and my car hand out sheet to selectively give away for free to those who show real interest. i also have a paper hand out sheet concerning this specific 308, give away free Ferrari stickers to the kids, etc.

Seems to me the reason to be at shows is to support a non-profit organization and to also provide information on the car to interested parties both young and old, rich and poor, of any race, creed, color.... Personally, would rather be driving the car yet if the car is there it would be proper etiquette (IMHO) to also cheerfully greet people and to provide whatever information they desire concerning the car. Saw many car owners (not just referring to Ferrari so relax Fchat guys) just ignore people as they were carefully looking at said owners vehicle. In fact there were a few non-Ferrari cars and i had questions yet the owner seemed to NEVER be near their vehicle

Hanging out near the car and asking the simple "Do you have any questions?" or "If you have any questions feel free to let me know." would be nice. Oh well, maybe it is just me???????????
