Well according to 355GTB you should do it in about, oooh, 48 seconds

For me it is about 90 seconds at a sedate 40!

 

Yep, Hartshead Moor services suits me!! Just down the road. What time you thinking then?

 

Normal clear run from J34 to Hartshead is 30 mins, so allow for morning traffic, say 9 o'clock give or take a few minutes either way.

I'm not really some kind of time and motion geek honest, I just do the East Yorks/Manchester run every day!

Keep following the M62 Westbound then take the M6 Southbound over Thelwall viaduct and take the Lymn tuning (I think it Jn 20) - there are some services/garage there. I met Simon there last time we went out.

I'll be there at 10am and will wait for you there.

Rick, as you come off J20 M6 where are the services, or are they blindingly obvious?

The reason I ask is that if it isn't actually raining, I will have the roof off, but if it starts peeing down as we get over the Pennines I might (only might mind you) have to stop very briefly to put it back on, in which case I will have a job catching the other guys in the traffic and may be a couple of minutes adrift.

The services are pretty clear - first junction off the M6 Southbound after Thelwall Viaduct (make sure you stick to 40 in the roadworks - loads of cameras around - its the first junction after the roadworks), onto the roundabout and it's the 2nd exit off there - I think it's a Total garage there - you can't miss it. Just make sure you come off at that junction otherwise you'll be on the M56.

As Steve F says the F boys will wait for you - not that you'll need to put your roof up - you'll be travelling that quick - especially if IOM Dave is leading !!
