That route is absolutely spot on! Count me in for sure! The only modification I would make is instead of going straight from JCT600 onto the motorway (1 mile),we could divert through the tunnels off the Armley gyratory and back to the motorway (3 miles).Can you confirm the date,and what time is best for everyone?

 

By the way,if it could be the weekend of 8 or 9th Feb,that would suit me fine(as it would Gumball3000 I think).

I am in. Can friends of mine come in his lambo Countach and Lotus Esprit V8 and TVr Cerbra ?

 

No problem with adding the tunnels in Leeds, consider it done. I will speak to JCT 600 and arrange for car parking and to see if they can lay on some tea/coffee etc once i know a date.

I would propose Sunday 8 Feb say 10:00 at JCT. Any comments?

In respect to cars other than Ferrari no problem for me the more the merrior especially if we get a lambo out.

The only other item I need to sort is a watering hole at the end of the route. Anyone know a pub with a decent sized car park around the Buxton area.

Hi guys

Just spoke to JCT600 and they are happy to allow the meeting to take place and arrange coffee/teas etc. Just need to confirm the date to them.

JCT open at 10:30 so propose we shift the time slightly to 10:30

All we need is good dry sunning weather. The cold is not the problem better for the car......

Yep,i'll be there too! I'm in Manchester on the Sat night so if 355gtb and anyone else wants to meet at Birch services (or closer to Leeds etc ) say 9.30am then thats fine!

Count me in and will confirm my parties numbers tomorrow OK.

 

Could do with rough numbers by this weekend so I can let JCT and the Manifold pub know. We just need to be careful that we don't get to many, or we may draw the attention of the old bill. At this time of year i would think the numbers would be sensible.

Absolutly gutted - I live in leeds (abeit without a ferrari) and would have loved to go to JCT to see all the cars (and maybe followed you through the tunnels), but Im in london that weekend (my birthday weekend no less)

Date is Sunday 8th Feb at JCT 600 at 10.30am.
Directions for anyone that is'nt sure of location of JCT 600 as follows:

Coming from Manchester on M62, turn off at J27 onto the M621 towards Leeds.Approx 2/3 miles later come off at Junction 1.At end of sliproad take first turning off roundabout (left).Continue through traffic lights under a railway bridge,then straight over a mini roundabout.JCT 600 is on the left approx 100yds on.
From M1 Northbound take M621 at J43.Follow to Junction 1 (approx 6/7miles).After coming off at J1 take 3rd exit then follow directions as above.From M62 Eastbound take M1 Northbound at J29 then as above.Hope this helps.

Afraid not. I am heading west from the East coast, so I will have to meet you at JCT. Am a little worried that we may get too much attention at this rate! We need to keep the numbers down to a fairly sensible level. Otherwise we will attract every boy racing idiot from far and wide!

Looking forward to it. Hell, I may even clean the car!
