I'm looking for a full set of 2000 Modena frunk leather straps, which include the spare tire option. I want to replace all the leather hold-down straps - the spare tire straps, the tools/fuses box straps, the inflator container straps, and the jack box straps.

Please PM me if you have a line on a reliable leather artisan, or any of these in pristine used condition.

    Thanks! JD

Was like $50 for both. Get both so they match, but also the manual strap ‘cause - why not for that price

Two red birds made me replacement straps, including the spare tire straps. Perfect color, match, perfect quality . The only difference on the shield shaped leather portion of the spare tire piece, did not have the embossed horse, of course. Highly recommend.

I knew Randy @tworedbirds did leather work and approached him about making new straps for my Modena several years ago. I was so impressed with his quality and attention to detail, that I suggested he should look into this market as I felt he would have a great customer base by offering a superior product at a reasonable price. From what I have been told, the exotic car market has been one of his biggest arenas so far, with customers all over the world. Highly recommended...and in Texas, still doing this out of his house!

I contacted tworedbirds.com as recommended and this is an absolute score for the detailing enthusiast. Plus some of us just like our stuff, all of it, even the seemingly small and incidental, to work. Honestly - and I'm not trying to get snide about Italian build quality - but most anyone would've assumed these were leather. Yet they are made of totally disintegrating vinyl/plastic that just fatigues and dies a crumbly death.

I replaced mine on my tool case including the handle and the mounting straps. Yet, against the very good advice of Two Red Birds, I chose not to replace the inflator straps because they were perfect. Really, they 'were' at that moment. The next removal to replace the ancient canister and they pulled apart.

So, do the right thing and get the whole set (discounted when bundled) at one time. I shall now sheepishly go and order my inflator straps.

I had some rivet screws in the right mm in my shop. There are 12 zillion versions on Amazon of various finishes and configurations. I couldn't get a rivet gun in tight enough on one spot and the nuts are super secure, not to mention removable if you need.

Far as number of holes in the leather, that's a good spot! I'd ask Randy if he can do yours exactly as yours is. One thing of note: the leather is thicker than the cheapo vinyl, so the amount of drag and tightness will change. Since I needed a took kit handle, I sanded that down on the rough side to reduce its thickness some as it was too tight. All good!
