'84 euro spec 308. Trying to remove the nose badge. Appears to be glued on with something (in addition to the two studs). With my BMW, I've removed badges with the credit card / putty knife trick. Extremely reluctant to use that method here.

    Any ideas?

You take dental floss and pull it back and forth underneath :)

Looks like someone put some sealant or type of gasket under it. Mine pulled off pretty easily after contorting my hand to get the nuts off. I have used the dental floss trick, might try a little gentle heat too. Gentle being the key word there. :)

It's just common double stick trim tape...

Awesome idea!...and with some hairdryer heat. I removed the nuts underneath and she wouldn't budge.

You won't get the tape off clean the first time, but you will release the badge. You then go after the remaining tape and adhesive with penetrating oil on a soft cloth :)

yah...I figured it won't come off on first try!

As far as a replacement, I've seen one from HD Rogers for $135 and one from Superformance for £49. Any thoughts on originality, cost, etc?

Its held on with just the 2 nuts and double sided adhesive tape. I only know this because I have a factory OEM emblem out of the package, otherwise I'd be guessing....

OK...was not able to find any corner to slide the floss underneath. However, there's a support beam (runs the width of the nose) in which I was able to use a 2-3' board and a smaller block under the nose badge. I applied a tad bit of leverage to the most forward badge stud and was able to lift. I then was able to slowly pry up the remaining parts of the badge.

I also noticed that some replacement badges have a slight contour whereas the one which came off my car does not.
