Decided to go for a walk last sunday ,and ended up in a local shopping center. As I walked into the center car park I was amazed to see a brand new Black RHD Ferrari 458 ,parked approx 2ft out from the kirbside ,now this isnt mayfair and to see this supercar sitting there was surprising to say the least ,approx 50ft front of the car was a tow truck, along side on the pavement was a man in overalls ,and at the rear was a police officer ,I approached the car to get a good look ,drivers window was down so a good nose was in order. getting a bit braver I asked the man in overalls has it broken down ,No, the bloke was driving without Insurance came the reply,I asked the guy if the driver looked nuts because that car must be worth £200k,he promptly informed the police officer of my estimated price ,to which the police officer said well you would have thought he would have the sense to check that he was covered on the insurance ,turns out that brother 1 had hired the car ,and brother 2 took it for a spin ,straight into the arms of the local police ,so does anybody have any ideas what the police would likely charge the bloke with

It's a shame that there's no "Thanks" button or something similar.

Sounds like the guy didn't have proof of insurance with him? They would just need to provide that later and pay to get the car out of impound.

The Red Mist strikes again but I can only speak for the law's in Texas. Oh let's not forget about MID which search's for valid insurance on the vehicle but just like another database used that can confirm any outstanding warrant's these database's are expensive, about $20-$30K per year each.

Brother #1: "Dude that car is whicked fast and pull's skirt!"
Brother #2: "Righteous throw me the key's and some bail money."

If this was in London then the car would be impounded untill a person with proper insurance came and claimed it, all the time being charged £112 a day.

The driver would be charged with driving without insurance and fined between £600 - £2000 also he would recieve six penalty points on his license

Sounds like brother 2 needs Nick Loophole

    http://www.freemankeepondriving.com/

Its possible brother 1 may also have committed an offence and/or have considerable liabilities to the hire firm for preventing their car earning its keep
