I was in fourth grade when I got a book called 'Way Cool Cars' through Scholastic book club. In this book was a Ferrari Testarossa, Lamborghini Countach and most importantly, the car that started it all, the Jaguar XJ-220. On December 18th in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Imperial Palace exotic car showroom I came face to face with the car that inspired my undying passion. On top of that, an employee allowed me to open the door, touch the leather and even grip the wheel. Unfortunately there was no conceivable way for me to fit in the car so the guy wouldn't let me try, kinda killed my hopes for ever owning one, at 6'5.5"ish. I also sat in the F430 Spider in the Wynn's basement and my foot is so wide I hit the gas and the brake at the same time regardless of how i angle my foot :( Hopefully 575s are bigger, I have yet to fit one of those. One thing to consider when fitting yourself for a car is shoes. I wear special shoes when I drive my 308. They're not official racing shoes but are very narrow and do not have any padding in the soles. They are about the same width as racing shoes but I feel funny going out in public in actual racing shoes but I guess you could get some in a low key color.

Stunning absolutely stunning I remember when I first got a glimpse of this car it was stunning then and still stunning now it is very under rated they were going for as high as 1 mill way back when now sadly one was for sale for 205,000 the car is simply sexy at any angle.

I believe the Way Cool Cars publication quoted the car at $600,000+ and as you mentioned, I've seen them for low $200k!!! What a car, kinda non-exotic ford interior, but I love the gauges on the door for some reason. What a car, what a car! As to the racing shoes, I'll definitely be looking into some but I'll likely have to put off the Ferrari while I finish paying someone to tailor me some size sixteens...

two good brands of shoes for driving are the Puma driving shoe, extremely comfortable and look good, and oakley makes some pretty good shoes. My preference are the Puma's. You can even order them from Ferrari branded.

It really is an amazing car. Quick question. I'm about 6'5 too, and I was wondering, besides the small room for the pedals, would you head hit the seilling too? Aways wondered about that...

i fit fine in a 360 coupe, the 430 was a spider and i definitely would have had to scrunch up and bow my legs out to fit with the top up. I fit fine in passenger in a 348 spider with the top up but I doubt I could drive it with any sort of comfort, if at all. I really want to test fit one of the GTs, 550 or 575... hopefully the have more room.

You are correct there sticker price was just over $600,000 but for a short while supply and demand was maxed and they were going for $1,000,000. I would love to have this car You wanna go half with me? You can drive it to here Mon, Tue, Wed, then I will turn around and drive it to there Thur, Fri, Sat, and Sunday is track day what do you think? lol
