My 360 is at the shop having the CS bumper and skirts installed. The shop called stating that the car won't start... Unfortunately I'm out of town and can't zip on over to troubleshoot, inspect, etc...

My thought is that they had/have let the battery drain. They state that they haven't jumped it and the car cranks normally. I know these cars are voltage sensitive, but would a low battery create a situation where the fuel pump, ignition or alarm system would not initiate?

I recommended that they turn the master switch in the front trunk off, fully charge the battery and then try again.

Are there any other thoughts or procedures I should consider and relay to the shop?

    Thanks in advance...

I assume that they disarmed the security system with the fob. If it cranks but doesn't start that is a classic symptom.

How long will you be out of town? I'd have them finish the work of installation and then roll the car to a safe spot until you arrive. They can turn off the power and charge the battery and then try starting it... but I wouldn't have them do anything else. They can break more than they fix.

I had a friend take his 928 to a body shop. Took them a year to get the work done. They said "there's a hole in the tank" and its dripping gas. he said "fix it". So they took his money and "did". He drives the car to my house because the brakes are dragging and lo and behold there dripping of gas from the rear of the car. took me 2 minutes to determine its a bad fuel line. We fixed it and he was good to go. Moral: they do body work.

Fortunately, just a low battery in the remote.
