The picture is of a Ford Model A . It is on Maui. There is a gentleman there that has an amazing talent for finding interesting vehicles. He is the one that located the Toyota that provided the parts in my "More toys" thread.

This is the Toyota Sports 800 as found. It is the car that supplied the parts in my "More Toys" thread. I can't restrain myself from commenting about how could anyone let such a rare and special car end up in such a condition. I take a moment and look at my Alfa and it occurs to me that I probably don't have a right to say anything....;>)

The work on this custom was done in 1955. A 1953 two door sedan was cut and a rear clip and tailgate from a station wagon was joined. I think the first Ranchero was not available until 1957.

Thanks for coming to my defense! Not Hispano-Suisa, but Italo-Suisa....;>) The truth is that I scrimped on wax, but the money saved was used to stock up on video cameras and battery box parts...;>) (Sorry everyone, this is a very inside jest)
